Support Sarahs Early Breast Cancer Journey

Donation protected
We would like to express a huge hearfelt thank you for your support in sarahs journey so far, especially to everyone who has been a part of the cause to keep sarahs life moving smoothly through her transition to good health.

Sarah has been living a journey on borrowed time. 1 year post cancer surgery, and treatment, still left with cancer, and no surgery or treatment offered until 1 solid year later.... the risk, with an agressive cancer, and not only 1 large grade 3 tumour, but 2.... left untouched, after the whole medical journey thats been done... the mental damage, physical damage, financial burden, and risk of progression into an incurable condition, is beyond... a miracle she is ok and stable enough to seek the treatment she finally deserves.

Sarah was Diagnosed of 2 cancers. A benign tumour, pushing on her super vena cava of her heart (the main artery) and Grade 3 Her2+ Breast Cancer, an aggressive form of breast cancer, while on a study visa in Australia in February 2021. She underwent chemo, and an inability to work, for the course of the year until her surgery date in Oct 2021. Months after her surgery she was told there is still cancer remaining in her breast and she needs to undergo another further surgery.

With the limitations of not having access to Centrelink support, and only being able to access public medical services for her treatment with overseas health insurance (thanks to AHM for covering over $60,000.00!!!), her reconstructions will also not be covered. Had the surgery only needed to be done once, sarahs journey would be over with regards to her breast cancer. Her first procedure left her with an already undesirable result, and no coverage for reconstruction, as well as no offer was presented...

Now with a new surgeon, 6 months after her second operation this coming end of October, she will be given the option to undergo private medical practice of fat grafting reconstruction for the correction of defects arising from experiencing 2 breast lumpectomies. This will be an extent of potentially 5-6 liposuction fat grafting surgeries to achieve satisfactory results post both surgeries. She is luckily covered for the cancer removal procedure, but given her surgeon is only able to offer fat grafting at the private practice, she will have to pay upfront out-of-pocket fees to receive her final treatment.

Alongside all of the surgeries, liposuction, and past chemotherapy bills still unable to be fully paid ($20,000.00 and counting) she will also have to undergo potentially another surgery for her heart tumour that could be fatal to her life if not treated soon. The growth is slow on the heart tumour, and options to avoid surgery are being offered, but surgery is still being considered. The potential upcoming costs, as well as the current costs and daily living expenses, have become a burden to not only her but her partner as well, as he tries to cover a majority of her medical bills when she cannot afford to pay upfront herself.

Sarah lives in a country town with her partner who is supporting her, offering free room and board, love and support and as much financial relief as possible, but with the recent breakdown of her van as well, getting to work has now become a bigger challenge. With so many surgeries coming up, getting a fulltime job has surfaced a challenge for sarah as she has lost a few jobs, due to needing medical treatment during work shifts.

This situation is starting to become a serious dire cry for help and assistance, from both sarah and her partner to get through this tough time.

Sarah has been healthily supporting herself and paying as many bills as she could fathom and has struggled many a financial hardship in silence over the last year since recovering from surgery, and it is a humbling time, to have to ask for help, and we do sincerely appreciate any support of gifts, love, well wishes, donations, and any time you have to provide to help get sarah taken care of so she can get back on her feet again with a healthy long life ahead.

We sincerely love all the support so far, and it has kept Sarah feeling safe along her hard journey, and kept her feeling hopeful, and loved, and she is not giving up!

From her:

"we got this!"

She would also like to express to anyone who has been touched by cancer, to please get in touch to learn anything you need, along your journey, or someone elses you may know going through cancer. It is within sarahs deep purpose to help others when in need, and especially on such a difficult journey she can relate to. She has done countless hours of research, networking, and learning the medical system, terms, new diets, and alternative therapys to cope with the journey. Everyones journey is different, and we all have a bit of experience, sarah hopes to share her own journeys lessons and relate deeper to others who have been through this battle, or are undergoing, or about to undergo any of these experiences. She wouldnt wish this upon anyone.

Thank you again for your time in reading this cause,
and supporting sarah to a clean bill of health.
