I have breast cancer, and while my surgery was successful, my journey is far from over. I still have 20 rounds of radiation ahead of me, and I’ll be off work for at least 9 more weeks. Right now, I have no income, and the bills—both medical and everyday living expenses—are starting to pile up. I’m waiting for my MN Paid Leave to be approved, but I don’t know how much support I’ll actually receive. Because I worked 6-7 days a week last year, my income was too high to qualify for any assistance, but this year I’ll make less than half of what I did before all of this started.
The funds raised here will help cover a month’s living expenses and begin to chip away at the medical bills, which are expected to reach five figures out of pocket. Every bit of support will help me focus on healing instead of worrying about how to keep the lights on or pay for treatment.
I really hate asking for help, but getting cancer was NOT on my bingo card for this year! I truly appreciate every single person who even reads this, as I know we are all struggling now. Thank you for your kind words and your support—it means more than I can say.
