Peace be upon you, I am Sarah Shahada, 22 years old, from Gaza. Welcome to my world. I have the most beautiful family of 7 members. We live in a worn-out canvas tent after we lost our homes because of the brutal Israeli machine. I appeal to your humanity and your generous, merciful heart. Our words come out of the depth of suffering.
We do not have a breadwinner. We are all children. I have 4 brothers and sisters. As children, our biggest dream became to get food and drink for us and our family. My father suffers from psychological disorders and many diseases after our house was demolished and we were exposed to danger and cold. My mother suffers from blocked blood vessels, and we also contain my grandmother, who has the same tender heart. The 90-year-old woman suffers from many diseases, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. We are all in dire need of eating vegetables and fruits after being deprived of them for 6 months in a row because of their crazy prices.
We have tasted hunger for months and we are still hungry until now. Your kindness and generosity will be the strength that will enable us to rebuild our life structure from scratch.
