Support Sarah Pagan's Legacy and Dogs

Please help Compassion Kind Foundation raise money after the loss of one of their incredible rescuers on their team, Sarah Pagan, to help with transporting her dogs and funeral costs. Sarah Pagan passed in her home on March 25th, 2025 Compassion Kind always promised to help her and her animals if something were to happen.

We first met Sarah in 2017 during our search and rescue efforts following Hurricane Maria’s devastation of Puerto Rico. Sarah was one of the incredible individuals we encountered on our first flight of rescue dogs from Puerto Rico to Florida. Since then, she has been a cornerstone of our rescue and foster operations in Puerto Rico, playing a vital role in coordinating every single flight. Through her dedication, we’ve been able to save countless lives, and her loss is a profound one for the rescue community. We are incredibly grateful to have known and worked alongside someone as selfless and compassionate as Sarah.

Sarah tirelessly fought for the lives of animals in places where others often turned away. She poured her own money into saving animals, always opening her home to foster dogs in need of treatment and transport. She managed all of this while also caring for her mother, who passed last year, and her sister. Sarah’s life was a testament to unwavering devotion to both animals and people, often putting the needs of others before her own.

We made Sarah a promise that, should anything ever happen to her, we would ensure her beloved dogs found loving homes. With no one else able to care for them, we urgently need your help. We are looking for chaperones to fly Sarah’s small dogs from Puerto Rico to Tampa, donations for the flight of her larger dogs in cargo, and contributions toward her funeral expenses, as our founder is her next of kin.
