Aloha everyone, My name is Maile Naleieha and I created this GoFundMe page for my second oldest sister Sarah Naleieha who currently lives in Wasilla, Alaska. She is 45 years old and is a Mother of 7 children.
Sarah has been living in Alaska for
14 years now, she has recently become a single parent of a 13 year old and a 15 year old (girls). She has been working for Relaint Transportation for 14 years. Her last day was on July 27, 2024 after having an asthma attack while attending training for work. Sarah was a bus attendant which servers special need children, she loved each and everyone of these children as if they were her own. Sarah enjoyed everyday caring for each child and is sadden that she will never be able to again. After Sarah had her asthma attack unfortunately she had a stroke. Due to her stroke and the severity of it she was declared unable to work. She was the soul provider for her children. Sarah also has a 19 year old daughter Kamole Asopaolo who was going to take over in her place to support there ohana (family) and her situation. Unfortunately in September she was diaganosed with epilepsy which put her out of work as well and she is currently unable to return to work until her doctor clears her. Recently Sarah's older daughter Kawehi Naleieha who is 24 years old, returned home to help her mom get to and from appointments. She cooks for her and her sisters and basically took over with the home responsibilities. Kawehi has just got a job at the local gas station there in Wasilla. She started yesterday 11-25-24 and she is hoping things will be better in the near future. Kawehi walked in the snow 2 miles one way, a total of 4 miles to and from. Sarah has one vehicle that she is still making payments on and also needs new tires and needs a new front windshield dued weather hazards . Sarah has an outstanding loan of approximately $5,000 dollars for her vehicle. Sarah has no gas in it right now and that is why her daughter Kawehi walked to work today. Sarah was able to pay for rent and utilities up until October 2024 her rent is currently $1,100 not including utilities. My family and I would appreciate it a lot for any financial help, also prayers are very much welcomed. And if you are unable to support financially, just sharing my sisters story means a lot to me and my Ohana (family) Aloha and Mahalo and Happy Holidays to you all and God Bless.
Update: 12-05-24 8:11am
Mahalo for your prayers, myself and my Ohana believes that God answers prayers. So please continue to pray for Sarah. Sarah was able to keep her cell phone on for communication with her doctors etc. She is currently working on getting assistance with a reliable transportation to and from therapy and all doctor appointments. So continue to pray for her reliable transportation. Kawehi, Sarah's daughter who has stepped up to care for her and the responsibilities of their home and Ohana has just picked up a second job with the community clinic in Wasilla. She reached out to a few resources to help them with rent and utilities, she is currently awaiting for a eviction notice as well as a pass due for utilities in order for things to take place, although she will not know if she qualified until she goes through the process. We are believing in God that Kawehi will get through and pass all pre-employment with the Wasilla clinic. Mahalo to the three individuals who donated to my Sister (Karen, Daisy and Jay, she was able to keep her and Kawehi's phone on, which is truly a blessing and very important. She was able to put gas in her car so Kawehi can get to and from work safely. Guys every little bit you can donate to my sister is greatly appreciated and going to all her needs in this time. I am her baby sister and believe God sees all things in light and in darkness and all will be exposed. I say this only with honest intentions and would like all who donates know that your donations go to help my sister in this time of need. Mahalo for your continued support and prayers. Happy Holidays to You and your Ohana.
