Support Sarah Meeks' Fight Against Cancer

I am starting this page with the hope that you will take a moment to read and hopefully donate to my lifelong, forever best friend, Sarah Meeks, as she courageously continues to battle cancer.

Sarah was diagnosed in May of 2020 with Stage IV colon cancer. She is a single mother, a sister, a daughter, and a lifelong friend to so many. Sarah, a Registered Nurse, has dedicated over half of her life to taking care of mothers and their newborn babies. She was forced to stop working when she was given the catastrophic diagnosis of metastatic colon cancer. Sarah immediately began intensive chemotherapy and 4 1/2 years later she is running out of options. With the numerous life-altering side effects, she has continued to smile and laugh, all while wearing a brave face for her two kids. Having always been a single mom to her two beautiful, amazing children, Emma, 20, and Grant, 8, she has never stopped fighting. Sarah has battled this disease with grace and dignity. She has unfortunately exhausted every possible avenue to make life work for herself and her kids. In the face of adversity, Sarah has remained strong. She is, however, running out of time and ways to make things work. Her biggest concern is how Emma and Grant will survive without her. She is desperately trying to find a forever house where they can continue to grow up. In Emma's own words:

My mom has shown incredible strength and resilience through this challenging journey and being able to help my brother and I go through life while also facing her own personal battle. My biggest fear is facing life without her and I am just asking a favor for anyone who can provide a safety net for her to get the help she needs along with financial stability to get us into a forever home to make this heartbreaking experience less stressful for the family.
