Many of you know that Sarah and Jonathan are expecting their first baby in early May—a season that should be filled with joy, anticipation, and preparing to bring their little one home.
However, this past week brought an unexpected turn. Sarah began experiencing concerning symptoms and was quickly diagnosed with pre-eclampsia—a serious and potentially life-threatening condition that puts both mother and baby at risk.
We’re incredibly grateful that she received a prompt diagnosis and is now receiving the care she needs. Unfortunately, the medical facilities in Terrace, where Sarah and Jonathan live, are not equipped to support the level of care required for her and the baby’s safety.
Sarah was medevacked to Prince George, where she has been assessed and is now scheduled for an emergency induction at 37 weeks. Due to the high-risk nature of her condition, she must remain in Prince George until after delivery and recovery.
This has created an unexpected financial burden, as Sarah now needs housing, food, and transportation during her extended stay. Once their baby is born, she and Jonathan will also need to travel home to Terrace with their newborn.
Jonathan has traveled to Prince George to be by Sarah’s side during this time, and while they are incredibly strong, this situation has placed significant emotional and financial stress on them.
We are asking, first and foremost, for your prayers and love as they navigate this incredibly intense and uncertain season.
So many of us want a way to further bless and supprt Sarah and Jonathan, so I have created this GoFundMe account to allow their friends and family the ability to do so while they navigate this terribly challenging situation.
To avoid overwhelming Sarah and Jonathan while they focus on their health and the baby, we kindly ask that all messages, questions, and well-wishes be directed to her sister, Rachelle, who will ensure your love and support are passed along.
Thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and for standing with Sarah and Jonathan as they await the safe arrival of their precious baby.
