Support Sarah Hoffner's Family After Fire

My name is Brenda Zimmerman, and my sister Sarah Hoffner and her family lost everything in a house fire on Wednesday, January 22. Thankfully, she, her husband, and two kids made it out safely, but her house burned to the ground with nothing left to salvage. Right now, they are currently staying at a local hotel in Monticello, Iowa, with the help of the Red Cross.

We are in the process of trying to help rebuild their lives. As you can imagine, they are shell-shocked and a little lost. I have been able to donate enough clothes for my sister, thanks to a shopping habit of mine, but they need so much more than that.

My nephew is 13, and Jonathan understands a little better than Josie, who is 7 and just wonders why and where all her stuff has gone.

We are keeping a positive face for the kids, and like I have said to my sister, all the stuff you lost is just that, stuff. The most important thing is all of them are safe and still here.
