Sarah is a loving mother of three—Mia (12), Alejandro (10), and Salvador (7). Together with her late husband, Juan Carlos, she built a life in Sarasota after moving from Colombia, always holding onto their roots while embracing their new home. Sarah is a devoted teacher, a woman of deep faith, and someone who has touched countless lives through her generosity and service to both the Colombian and American communities.

Tragically, just yesterday, Sarah and her children faced the sudden and heartbreaking loss of Juan Carlos. The pain of losing a beloved husband and father is unimaginable, and Sarah is left to navigate this new reality as the sole provider for her family. The road ahead is filled with uncertainty—funeral expenses, daily living costs, and the challenge of providing stability and comfort for her children during this time of grief.

Sara es la mamá de Mia (12), Alejandro (10) y Salvador (7). Junto a su esposo Juan Carlos, llegó desde Colombia a Sarasota hace varios años y se dedicó a su familia, y a la crianza de sus hijos.

Sara es una trabajadora incanzable, una mujer generosa y siempre comprometida con su el trabajo social; desde su rol como profesora, como por medio del apoyo que le brinda a la comunidad tanto latina como americana en su ciudad. Quienes la conocen saben que es una persona responsable, generosa y siempre dispuesta a ayudar cuando alguien lo necesita.

Trágicamente, el día de ayer, Juan Carlos falleció de manera repentina, dejando a Sara a cargo de sus tres hijos, teniendo que enfrentar ahora sola la responsabilidad de asumir el cuidado y la manutención de Mia, Alejandro y Salvador; todo esto, en medio una situación absolutamente trágica e inesperada.

Además del desgarrador suceso y del impacto emocional, Sara debe asumir los gastos funerarios inmediatos, y los costos de mantener una familia, ahora como la cabeza del hogar, mientras intenta adaptarse a esta nueva realidad, con el desafio de convertirse ahora en el sustento de sus hijos, ya que Juan Carlos era el proveedor de su familia.

Esta campaña tiene como objetivo apoyar a Sara y a sus hijos durante este periodo de transición, para que puedan cubrir necesidades básicas, afrontar los gastos urgentes y concentrarse en lo más importante: el bienestar de los niños y de Sara.
