Support Sarah Cooper's Recovery and Family Needs

Hello, my name is Katie and my sweetest and strongest friend needs our help. I met Sarah when we were both in accelerated nursing school together and I knew when I first met her that she was a fighter and one of the sweetest and strongest women I will meet. She’s beat and battled cancer, worked hard to become an amazing nurse helping others, and chose her recent career path of being a stay-at-home mom to her 2-year-old daughter and new born daughter.

Sarah and her husband welcomed their second child on October 30th, 2024. Both mother and baby did well through labor and delivery and her team of doctors watched her heart very closely due to a history of heart failure from chemotherapy she received battling Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at 15 years old. It is with a heavy heart to share that Sarah has suffered multiple strokes 2.5 weeks postpartum due to a large blood clot in her heart from postpartum complications. Sarah is currently in the ICU and still battling complications. Kevin is working tirelessly to be by her side, communicate with everyone, and take care of his sweet girls. Both of their parents and Kevin’s sister are supporting Sarah, Kevin, and their beautiful young daughters the best they can. They still need lots of help. Taking care of a newborn is no easy task and it should be a beautiful time for a family. Unfortunately, Sarah and baby continue to be apart and grandparents are lovingly caring for her when Kevin is with Sarah. First, I ask for prayers of hope, grace, and healing for Sarah and her family. They are taken aback by the outpouring of prayers they have already received and those have been POWERFUL! Second, I ask for donations to cover the cost of medical bills ahead, childcare cost as Sarah starts to recover and the weeks and months to follow, costs so Kevin can stay home as long as possible in Sarah’s recovery and with their two-year-old and new born daughter, foods/meals, and other various expenses as they go through this difficult time.
