Support Sarah Auxilien Ruiz's Recovery Journey

My name is Devon Auxilien. I'm creating this fundraiser on behalf of Sarah Auxilien Ruiz. She's my sister-in-law and best friend for 23 years. She was traveling from Texas to Louisiana on Dec 30th to spend the New Year holiday with family and friends when she fell asleep while driving, went airborne, and hit 2 trees at a high rate of speed. The crash occurred at 3 am. She had to have emergency surgery to stop internal abdominal bleeding when they realized her stomach muscles, intestines, and bowel were injured. On January 2nd, they were able to repair the internal damage but were unable to close her abdomen due to the swelling from the trauma. She will undergo surgery again tomorrow, January 6th, to try another method to close her. Any donations will help while she is out of work for a minimum of 2 months, help take care of her 3 small children, and help her parents travel to and from Texas to be here for her.
