My name is Sarah, and I first met Slurpy in 2020 when he was starving and in poor health. I was also at my lowest point in life, and together, we saved each other. Unfortunately, a few days ago, Slurpy stopped eating and became extremely ill. This morning, I found him in his litter box, barely able to move. I rushed him to an emergency vet in Pittsburgh, where I was given the heartbreaking choice to either spend $5,000 for surgery to remove an obstruction or consider euthanasia.
