As many of you know, my name is Sarah. Over the past few months, I’ve been struggling mentally, physically, and financially. I never thought I would be in a position to create a GoFundMe, and I wouldn’t be doing this if I truly didn’t need help.

I care deeply about our community and have always tried to support others whenever I could. I know so many people are struggling right now, which makes this even harder—but I’ve reached a point where I need to ask for help.

In November, my SNAP benefits were cut. When I tried to reapply, I was denied because I “make too much,” even though I’m barely getting by. It’s gotten to the point where I’m struggling to afford groceries and even keep my lights on. This isn’t a sob story—it’s just my reality, and unfortunately, the reality for many others right now.

I’m a single mom to two beautiful girls who are my entire world and the reason I keep pushing forward every day. But the truth is, I’m behind on bills and feeling completely overwhelmed. My family has helped as much as they can, and I’m so grateful—but I can’t ask them to carry this burden when they already do so much for me.

I’m asking for just enough help to get caught up and maybe build a small emergency cushion, just in case something unexpected happens. As many of you know, I’ve been physically disabled for about four years and have been working hard to get back on my feet. Even while working full-time, the cost of everyday living has made it impossible to stay ahead.

This is incredibly hard for me to share, but I’m hoping those who know me understand that I would give the shirt off my back to help someone else in need.
