Help Sarah and Her Baby Girl Goldie Live with Dignity as She Fights Terminal Cancer
Hi everyone,
My name is Brandi Pool, and I’m writing on behalf of my dearest friend, Sarah Andrews, and her sweet two-year-old daughter, Goldie.
Sarah’s story is heartbreaking, humbling, and one of the most powerful examples of a mother’s love and resilience I’ve ever witnessed. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer (metastatic breast cancer) while she was just three months pregnant and told she most likely had 3-4 years to live.
Since that day, Sarah has faced every impossible moment with grace and unimaginable strength. She’s endured treatments, pain, exhaustion, and fear — all while raising her daughter as a full-time single mom. Goldie is the reason she fights so hard. Every PET scan, every injection, every tough day — she does it for her little girl.
Sarah recently qualified for Medicare and is living on disability. But for the past year and a half, she was forced to pay $1,800 a month for COBRA insurance, just to stay alive — a cost that’s financially devastating, especially without a steady income. And while she continues to fight her illness, she’s also trying to cover basic needs like her mortgage, daycare, food, and medications. It’s a constant, crushing burden.
Her cancer is currently being managed with Zoladex injections and Tamoxifen — a treatment plan she’s only on because she couldn’t tolerate the more aggressive therapies. She’s feeling okay for now being on the less aggressive therapy, but as with all terminal cancer, it’s only a matter of time before her current regimen stops working. At that point, she’ll move on to the next option… and then the next… until there are no options left.
Sarah also suffers from a heart and nerve disorder that tends to worsen during the summer months. While it's stable now, it's one more unpredictable factor in a life already full of unknowns.
What Sarah needs more than anything is breathing room — the peace of mind that comes from knowing she can focus on what truly matters: her health and the precious time she has with Goldie.
She deserves dignity. She deserves stability. She deserves to parent her daughter without the crushing weight of financial insecurity hanging over her every single day.
This is where we come in. Your support — whether it’s a donation, a share, or simply spreading the word — will make an immediate and lasting impact on Sarah and Goldie’s lives. It’s not just financial help. It’s giving a mother and daughter a chance to live with some joy and peace, even in the hardest chapter of their lives.
Please, stand with Sarah. Help her carry this weight. Let’s show her she’s not alone.
With all my heart,
Brandi
