Support Sarah Alberding's Stroke Recovery

Donation protected
On July 9th, 2025, our beloved Sarah Alberding — a deeply loving mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend — suffered a life-threatening medical emergency. She experienced a large cerebellar ischemic stroke and brain stem stroke caused by a bilateral vertebral artery dissection. In the days that followed, Sarah underwent urgent neurosurgery, including a craniotomy and placement of an external ventricular drain to relieve the pressure on her brain.
Sarah spent 13 harrowing days in the Neuro ICU, surrounded by incredible doctors, nurses, and her loved ones — all praying for the best. Miraculously, Sarah pulled through, and she is now continuing her recovery at Mercy Rehabilitation Hospital. While she’s making steady progress, the path ahead is long, challenging, and unlike anything our family has ever faced.
This unexpected medical crisis has changed everything. Sarah now faces a new reality — one that will require ongoing rehabilitation, physical and occupational therapy, and adjustments in day-to-day living. It also means her family must adapt to a new family dynamic, emotionally, physically, and financially.
Those who know Sarah know her heart — her kindness, her strength, her selflessness, and how deeply she loves and supports everyone around her. Now, it’s our turn to support her.
We are humbly asking for your help.
Your donation will go toward:
• Extensive rehabilitation and outpatient therapy
• Medical bills and follow-up care not fully covered by insurance
• Home modifications and accessibility needs
• Lost income and ongoing family support during this critical recovery period
• Travel and lodging expenses related to her care
Sarah has always been the steady, loving force in our lives. While this stroke has altered her path, it has not dimmed her spirit. She continues to show incredible resilience, and with the right support system, we believe she can reclaim a vibrant, meaningful life.
If you’re unable to donate at this time, please consider sharing this campaign and keeping Sarah and our family in your thoughts and prayers. Every kind word, every dollar, and every act of love makes a difference.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us during this time.
