Help Us Lay Sara Romero to Rest

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Sara Romero. On February 27, 2025, my mother passed away in the hospital after enduring multiple strokes. She was incredibly strong, but in her final days, her health declined significantly. While we grieve this immense loss, we take comfort in knowing she is now at peace and in a better place.

Sara was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, aunt, great-aunt, and a cherished friend to many. She was a source of strength and a guiding light in our lives. Her kindness, warmth, and generosity touched so many, and we want to give her the farewell she truly deserves.

A hardworking woman, Sara dedicated decades of her life to serving others—both through her career and as a longtime volunteer at The Holy Cross Church in Los Angeles. Even into her 70s, she continued to work tirelessly, embodying resilience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved.

Though she never married, Sara built a life full of love and community. She is deeply missed by her only son, as well as her relatives abroad, who, unfortunately, are unable to attend her funeral.

As we come together to honor her memory and lay her to rest, we are facing the unexpected financial burden of funeral arrangements. We are reaching out to ask for your support in raising $15,000 to help cover funeral expenses and memorial services. Con gran pesar compartimos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida Sara Romero. El 27 de febrero de 2025, mi madre falleció en el hospital después de sufrir múltiples derrames cerebrales. Era increíblemente fuerte, pero en sus últimos días, su salud se deterioró significativamente. Si bien lamentamos esta inmensa pérdida, nos reconforta saber que ahora está en paz y en un lugar mejor.

Sara fue una hija, hermana, madre, tía, tía abuela y una amiga querida para muchos. Fue una fuente de fortaleza y una luz guía en nuestras vidas. Su amabilidad, calidez y generosidad conmovieron a muchas personas, y queremos darle la despedida que realmente se merece.

Sara, una mujer trabajadora, dedicó décadas de su vida a servir a los demás, tanto a través de su carrera como voluntaria durante mucho tiempo en la Iglesia de la Santa Cruz en Los Ángeles. Incluso cuando tenía 70 años, continuó trabajando incansablemente, encarnando la resiliencia, la compasión y un compromiso inquebrantable con sus seres queridos.

Aunque nunca se casó, Sara construyó una vida llena de amor y comunidad. Su único hijo la extraña profundamente, así como sus familiares en el extranjero, quienes, lamentablemente, no pueden asistir a su funeral.

Mientras nos reunimos para honrar su memoria y darle sepultura, nos enfrentamos a la carga financiera inesperada de los arreglos funerarios.
