My best friend has cancer. Those words still do not feel real when I say them out loud. We have tip toed around and avoided the words for a few months now. We talk about treatment for this and relief for that, but we are not saying the word. The scariest six letters that anyone can hear have been uttered loud and clear. Sara has adenocarcinoma esophageal cancer.  It has spread to her stomach and lymph nodes. She is currently being treated by Florida’s very best doctors at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa.

Anybody who knows Sara Gutauskas-Eplin personally knows that she is not one to ask for help.
