Support Sara Batterby's fiancé, Jonathan Myers

We are all truly heartbroken by the sudden death of Sara Batterby who died of a catastrophic stroke last Tuesday in the arms of her good  friend, Rebecca Alexander. Sara was on a road trip to Idaho with her dog, Ash, which was part of her planned birthday celebrations (she would have turned 50 on Sunday 25th April).  Loved by many, Sara was adored by her fiancé Jonathan Myers, and she has left him bereft. We set up this page to support Jon as he navigates this extremely difficult time. Sara and Jon were a team. They are both brilliant people (if not always the kind to dot the i's and cross the t's and this is now a bit of an issue). Sara loved Jon and she loved the farm they were leasing. Like many people in America, she did not have health or other insurance but generous as ever, Sara donated her organs in a last, incredible gesture. There is a lot to deal with in the aftermath of her very sudden death.  Jon is also facing more surgery in July for a leg he badly injured some years ago in a car accident.  There is a lot to figure out and we would like to give him some breathing space to heal and deal with the many details of her very full life.  Specifically these funds will be used for legal fees and associated costs in figuring out Sara's estate. She also left four fabulous dogs in his care. Sara and Jon have always been incredibly generous to others, and they have given so much that they didn't always put their own needs first.  All funds will be directed to Jon hopefully by the end of the month, and any not used will be redirected to a memorial scholarship (the details of which are in the works).
