We are SAPA Sourdough & Pastry, A small bakery and cafe in Mysore, south india.
What started as a small studio bakery, with a weekly menu and pick ups only, prepared by a team of two, about 1 1/2 Years ago, slowly developed into a team of now 8 people, a small garden cafe, a fully running patisserie production and bread bakery. We started to become an essential part in people’s weekly lives, to come over for a coffe, to pick up a cinnamon bun or get a staple sourdough bread supply, for some it even became a part of their weekend trips to our town.
The idea and drive for us is to support local people and systems, while providing artisan products to our community.
Our backbone are our employees, who make the whole show run smoothly and with a lot of fun. Consisting out of Young women only, who are extremely motivated and became passionate for their newly acquired profession, we are striving for a team that welcomes individuals with their unique talents in whatever way they might contribute.
Another strong hold are our suppliers, who ensure that we receive locally sourced raw materials from our sub continent, like organic flour, unbleached ethically farmed sugar, single origin chocolate or fresh vanilla, to Name just a few. Without them our products would not be the same.
Lastly we want to serve our community artisan pastries and breads, that are made fresh, by hand and with love. We receive our customers trust and loyalty with gratitude.
Since we started our new cafe, the world has suddenly been facing an immense crisis. It has changed everyone’s lives in a before unseen way and is making it impossible for the hospitality industry to do their job, bring people and Communities together. Paying employees and suppliers has become a massive struggle.
Every part of the food production chain needs support and strength during this difficult time. We need your help now to hold our space up and alive for our customers, our team and our suppliers.
