Dear friends, family, and community,
We are reaching out on behalf of a very special baby girl, Saoirse Pearl McCabe, and her family as they face an incredibly challenging and unexpected journey.
To know Saoirse is to know her chubby, ear-to-ear smile — a smile that lights up every room and is impossible to pass up. She is naturally joyful, happy, and full of life.
On January 12, Saoirse was taken to the emergency room as Kean and Siobhan noticed concerning symptoms. What followed happened incredibly fast.
In just a short amount of time, Saoirse was airlifted to a children’s hospital, underwent extensive testing including an MRI and biopsy, and began treatment. Since then, Saoirse has been diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a childhood cancer, and is currently receiving care at Stanford’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. She has already begun chemotherapy and will require ongoing treatment, procedures, monitoring, and extended time in and out of the hospital as doctors work toward healing her.
While no family is ever prepared to hear news like this—especially when it involves their baby—Saoirse is in the hands of an outstanding medical team, and Kean and Siobhan remain hopeful and strong as they take this one day at a time. Their focus right now is entirely on supporting Saoirse through treatment, being present for her care, and navigating the road ahead together.
This GoFundMe was created by close friends of the family to help ease the financial burden that comes with a diagnosis like this. Donations will help with medical out-of-pocket expenses, travel to and from Stanford, lodging, meals, lost income during treatment, procedures, and anything else for the unforeseen future, allowing Kean and Siobhan to focus fully on her health and recovery.
Any support—whether through a donation, sharing this page, or continued prayers—means more than words can express. Thank you for surrounding Saoirse and her family with love, strength, and encouragement as they walk this challenging path.
With heartfelt gratitude,
