Please come to the aid of our dear Santia Castro, who has always been a pillar of strength and a loving caregiver to her beautiful family, children in the community, and many, many animals.

Santia is a 39-year-old mother of five children, ranging from preschool to college age. She also became a grandmother in the past year. Santia has a warm nature and is known for being nurturing as she is rarely seen without a child by her side. Today, she is striving to recover in the ICU after surviving a near-fatal car accident on October 26th. Her life is a miracle, yet she needs our support now.

Challenges Santia Faces

This major car accident left Santia with severe injuries that require immediate and ongoing medical attention:

• Emergency amputation of her right hand

• Multiple fractures (pelvic reconstructive, right leg femur and tibia, left leg fracture, left arm and shoulder fracture)

• Internal injuries, including a punctured liver

Her road to recovery may be long, but with proper support and rehabilitation, Santia can rebuild her life and continue being the amazing mother her children need.
