Help Support Santiago’s Family Restaurant After a Devastating Fire
We are Isamel and Carmen Santiago, proud owners of Santiago’s Family Restaurant in Westfield, Massachusetts. For over 25 years, our family has had the honor of serving this community — sharing meals, laughter, and countless memories with so many of you. Santiago’s isn’t just a restaurant; it’s where we’ve raised our children, built lifelong friendships, and poured our hearts into every plate of authentic Puerto Rican food.
Recently, a devastating fire in the building where our restaurant is located — though not caused by us — has forced us to close our doors until further notice. While we’re incredibly grateful that the heart of our kitchen remains intact, the road to reopening is filled with uncertainty and unexpected challenges. What was initially thought to be a short-term closure is now turning into a much longer setback.
This heartbreaking event has left our family, our hardworking staff, and our livelihood in a very difficult place. Like many small businesses, we operate week to week. The fire has resulted in a total loss of income, spoiled inventory, and no wages for our team — many of whom are family and have been with us for years. Insurance may help with some of the physical damage, but it does not cover the financial strain we’re now facing.
We’re reaching out to our friends, neighbors, and extended community for help during this incredibly difficult time. If you’ve ever dined with us, celebrated a special occasion with us, or simply supported us in any way — we would be so grateful for your support now. Every donation will go directly toward covering lost wages for our team, supporting our staff’s families, and helping us rebuild and reopen.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us. We can’t wait to welcome you back through our doors again soon.
With love and appreciation,
Isamel, Carmen & the Santiago Family
