Support Sandy’s Stage 4 Cancer Treatment
Spende geschützt
Our dear friend Sandy is a wife, mother, small business owner, and friend to many. Sandy loves spending time with her family. Her days are filled with her favorite activities; being a Mom to her two teen girls, running her bookkeeping business, hiking with her husband Scott, and running and lifting weights.
After her original diagnosis, she felt God, her greatest treasure, direct her path towards helping other Breast Cancer survivors study the Bible together (The Breast Friend’s Club). The women she has met on her road of life have become her focus and mission ground. To encourage, support, pray for and share the love and goodness of God, with each of them being her main calling. Her fun-loving nature, bright personality, and warmth have been an encouragement for many who have found themselves in a similar position as herself.
Sandy was initially diagnosed with Stage 2b breast cancer in 2016. Determined not to let cancer win, Sandy underwent surgeries, chemo and radiation. Sandy handled it so well while running her bookkeeping business throughout all the treatments. Post treatments, she felt great and enjoyed getting out in nature. Sandy learned a lot about integrative ways to improve on her path of healing, often sharing generously with others struggling with their journeys. She stays connected with other survivors and remains a tremendous example of trusting God despite hard times.
Unfortunately, some changes in bloodwork came back abnormal in 2022, and she asked the doctor to check her liver since her tumor markers and liver enzymes were elevated. They found a large mass and smaller lesions on her liver. After several other scans, they found lesions in her bones - skull, pelvis, legs, vertebrae, and ribs after several other scans. All this means that our dear Sandy now has a Stage 4 diagnosis.
Sandy has since 2016 stayed on top of breast cancer treatments and believed that her new diagnosis is leading her to a new pathway of healing on top of some treatments her oncologist is recommending. She is going to a hospital in Mexico where she can do treatments that are not allowed in the USA. Insurance and Health Sharing Plans DO NOT cover the cost of the initial three weeks of treatments (potentially a return visit could be expected in the future). Given the severity of Sandy’s new diagnosis, this fundraiser is for these treatments and coverage of expensive supplements and other integrative treatments when back home in the US. A few of the treatments in Mexico include:
• Immune Cell Therapy with T cells and NK cells from your own body that is cultured and trained to fight cancer then put back in your body
• IV drips of a malaria medicine, B17, Vitamin C
• Hyperthermia where the body temp is raised very high for some time to kill cancer cells
• Hyperbaric oxygen therapy
Sandy is leaving on April 9th for Mexico and will be back on May 1. She will personally be unable to manage her business but thankfully has some support to keep it running) during this period in Mexico. We wish her time there will be for healing and free of financial stress. Sandy also will need to prioritize her time for many additional healing modalities, which she will incorporate once she returns.
Please help us give back to Sandy and her family by supporting this fundraiser for her healing.
Additionally, keep them all in your prayers because only God can write a beautiful plan for Sandy’s life, and we can help support and love them through this fundraiser.
