Sandy is a 9½-year-old pit bull/lab mix and has been our best friend since we rescued her from Wright Way Rescue. They told us she was found on the side of the road with her puppies. While she happily followed me everywhere, it took her many weeks to get used to my husband. We think she was abused by a man.

After she was settled, she has been full of love, hugs, kisses, cuddles, and tail wags. About a month ago, she started being lethargic, not eating, and running a fever. We took her to the vet several times already and she was recently diagnosed with a tumor near her spleen and intestines.

The cost for ultrasound, surgery, hospitalization, and post-op care is beyond what my family and I can manage alone.
