Sandy, my sister, has always been the heart of our family and a source of strength for everyone around her. She’s spent her life working as a teacher for special ed children, raising her own two kids, volunteering, and supporting friends through tough times. Her kindness, big heart, and infectious laugh have touched so many lives.
Sandy has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma: a very aggressive and recurring brain cancer that is difficult to treat and has a very low survival rate.
On October 16, 2025, Sandy was diagnosed with brain cancer after experiencing memory loss, dizziness, severe headaches, vision changes, and loss of consciousness. The diagnosis was devastating, but she faced it with courage. Just eleven days later, she underwent brain surgery to remove as much of the tumor as possible. The surgery was grueling, but she came out determined to keep fighting.
Now, Sandy is preparing for chemotherapy, radiation, targeted therapy, and clinical trials at Mayo Clinic. These treatments will be long, exhausting, and expensive, but they are her best chance at recovery. The financial burden is immense, from medical bills and treatment costs to transportation expenses to the Mayo Clinic in Arizona and everyday living costs. The stress of finding ways to pay for all of this is a huge weight on her shoulders. Raising funds to help pay for these expenses will allow Sandy to focus more on her treatment and recovery, rather than worrying about how to afford the care she needs. Your support will help cover these costs giving her the chance to concentrate on healing.
Sandy has always put others before herself, and now she needs our help. She deserves the chance to keep shining and to continue being the loving, generous person she’s always been. Please consider donating or sharing this campaign with others. Together, we can give her hope, strength, and the support she needs to keep fighting. Thank you so much.
