Support Sandy Creek Families After Devastating Flood

My name is Karen Green, and I live in the Sandy Creek Ranches area near Leander, TX. On the night of July 4 and early morning of July 5, our neighborhood experienced a storm with vast consequences. The local creek, Sandy Creek, reached out and consumed homes and family members in the 100+ year flood plain. As a 40 year resident, many of my friends and neighbors were effected. While damage to my home is easily repaired, some lost so much more. This fundraiser is for three of those families. One elderly family's home flooded into the basement and first floor, took their work van with all their carpentry tools, and all out buildings. One family lost two teenage children, their stepmother, and their home. Another family's house flooded and they lost everything inside, plus a mobile home in which another family member lived. The mom of this family is a former student where I taught for 27 years. Please let me know to whom you would prefer to donate. Right now, folks are still cleaning prior to rebuilding, but will need materials soon. Please help!
