Over the last week and a half, I have been hospitalized and, from the looks of it, I won’t be able to return home for a while. As a single parent to three wonderful children, I have always tried to be both mom and dad for them. Facing this unexpected health crisis has been incredibly difficult, not just for me, but for my kids as well. I have been diagnosed with frontal brain damage, have suffered seizures and consistent heart attacks, and have now lost mobility in my legs. This has turned our world upside down, and I am doing my best to stay strong for my children.

Right now, I am asking for help to cover medical bills, utilities, and next month’s rent so that my children can have some stability while I recover. My son’s birthday is coming up in a few days, and I want to make sure he feels special and not forgotten, even in the midst of all this. I have never been one to ask for help, and this is taking a toll on me, but I know that any support will make a huge difference for my family.
