Hi, my name is Sandra, I’m 31, and suffered a severe brain hemorrhage on 01/07/24. It completely wiped out the left side of my body and stuck me with left-sided paralysis. In my attempts to recover and regain lost functions, I’ve done many rounds of traditional physical and occupational therapy, used countless devices, supplements, acupuncture; the list goes on. With strokes, the earlier interventions are implemented, the better. Unfortunately, I missed the critical recovery window in the first six months due to constantly fighting with insurance. I’ve also been denied disability and am fighting the state for that as well.
I spend hours researching stroke interventions and treatments every day. I discovered an intensive neurological rehabilitation program offered by John’s Hopkins called the NIBS program. It’s 5 days a week, brain stimulation done by high-frequency magnetic pulses to targeted areas of the brain. It’s coupled with a personalized therapy regimen every day. I really need this. They, of course, do not take Medicaid, so I’m left to pay out of pocket. I have to do everything I can to get myself out of this nightmare. Please help if you can; if you can’t, it’s okay, times are tough. I just am very desperate to overcome the paralysis I’ve been suffering from, and this program is my best shot.
