On the morning of April 9th, Sandra Saponaro experienced every parent’s worst nightmare. She found her beloved 22-year-old son, Marshall, unresponsive in his bed. Just the day before, Marshall had undergone a dental procedure—routine oral surgery—but something went terribly wrong. It is now believed that a possible interaction between the anesthetic and his epilepsy medication may have caused his sudden death.

Marshall was autistic, nonverbal, and deeply loved. He was a gentle soul with a beautiful smile who brought light to everyone who knew him. He lived a quiet life at home with Sandra, who devoted herself completely to his care and wellbeing. Sandra was using homeopathy and biomedical interventions to help recover Marshall. He was making tremendous progress and his future looked hopeful and bright. His passing has left her not only heartbroken but also overwhelmed with unexpected expenses.

Sandra had no time to prepare for this tragedy. Out of pocket, she has already paid $4,000 in funeral costs and nearly $8,000 for a private autopsy in hopes of finding answers. She is now carrying the heavy weight of grief and financial strain, all while navigating life without her only child.
