My name is Misty Gray and I am the primary caregiver and only child of Sandra Gray. Mom is an 80-year-old metastatic breast cancer patient. Mom's home is still being financed, and we are making monthly mortgage payments. My dad passed away in 2023, and Mom is relying solely on her budgeting income and SSI. Mom makes a few hundred dollars over the Medicaid acceptance cut-off.

I have reached out for assistance regarding financial help to local agencies and the federal government. We are awaiting an assessment from the Council on Aging, but I've been told it takes several months to qualify.

I have not been able to work my usual hours per week because I am staying home with Mom. Mom has fallen twice in the past two weeks. Mom fractured her L4 and L5 on her spine. I am in desperate need of funding and help!

Mom would be embarrassed that I am reaching out asking for help, but I am desperate. I've taken out loans and repaid them several times to supplement income.
