On May 22nd, 2023, Sandi Deschamps passed away after her short and tough fight with cancer. She was at peace and surrounded by her loving family.

Sandi left behind a hole in our lives that cannot be overstated. She was a matriarch, mother, business owner, social organizer: she was “The Glue”.

While Canada’s healthcare system supported Sandi in her journey, there are so many things left unaccounted for and the financial burden was placed solely on the family: things like oxygen tanks and supplies for Sandi’s day-to-day comfort and survival. Meanwhile, Sandi was the heart and soul of their small business and her passing has left a devastating impact and financial loss for the family moving forward.
