Sandi, my sister, has always been the kind of person who puts others first. She’s spent her life supporting family and friends, never asking for anything in return. Now, she’s facing one of the toughest challenges of her life: a cancer diagnosis. Sandi doesn’t have insurance through her work and relies on Medicaid, which doesn’t cover all her needs. On top of that, she’s raising her young grandson, making her situation even more challenging.

All her life, Sandi has worked hard at jobs that didn’t provide insurance or other support. She’s always been there for those around her, offering a helping hand whenever someone needed it.
