I created this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend, Sandi, who would never ask for help herself, but greatly needs it to pay for groceries, medical bills and gas to get to and from endless appointments.

Sandi was on a bike ride at 11 AM on 9/13, when she was hit by a car driving 50 MPH, and the driver immediately drove away.

During the accident, Sandi was thrown onto the car's windshield, then forward onto the road, sustaining multiple vertebrae fractures, an orbital fracture, multiple fractures of her nose and countless lacerations across her body and face. She's lucky to be alive, and now has intense pain with simple daily activities, visual impairment that is likely to last months, and she cannot work.

She is an incredibly talented APRN, working in urgent care and interventional pulmonology, but is not entitled to disability pay through either job.

The woman who hit her also had no insurance and therefore there is nothing to help with Sandi's medical bills.

Sandi is smart, funny, brave & has helped so many people, time and time again.

Now that she is the one in need, I would love for her to receive help on her long road to full recovery!
