Hi everyone! Our names are Arica Carter and Jeff Atkins, and we’re raising money for a cause that means a lot to us. This summer, we will embark on a life-changing mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Sandhills Community Church from June 8-15, 2026.

We will be serving with Global Effect, an organization that partners with impoverished communities in the Dominican Republic to bring sustainable transformation with a spiritual, economic, social, and educational impact. During our trip, we will be running a medical clinic to serve hundreds of people who have little or no access to basic health care. We will also be providing water filters for families to have access to clean drinking water.

We know that all good things come from Him, and if it is His will, all will be provided. However, we cannot do this on our own. We are humbly asking for your support as we embark on this journey. If you feel led, would you consider supporting our trip prayerfully and/or financially? Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact on the lives of those we serve.

The total cost of the trip is $2,007 per person, so $4,014 for both of us, which is needed by June 1. We are also seeking prayer partners to pray for our group, safety, the people of the Dominican Republic, and the trip as a whole each day throughout the trip.
