Support Sanaa Al-Mashharawi’s Family in Gaza

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Arta Rashica, and I’m from Austria.

I'm organizing this campaign on behalf of Sanaa Al-Mashharawi, a 52-year-old mother and grandmother from Gaza, who is facing unimaginable hardship after losing her home, her son, and her health due to the ongoing war.

Sanaa is the widow of the late Maher Al-Mashharawi and the mother of 11 children, including her beloved son Khaled, who was tragically killed. She now cares not only for her children but also for 10 orphaned grandchildren—all while suffering from multiple serious health conditions, including heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and a blood clot in her mouth.

Her life has been devastated. Their home was destroyed, and they were forcibly displaced, left with no shelter, no food, no medicine, and no way to survive. Her children’s workplace was also completely destroyed in the attacks.

Today, Sanaa and her family are living in a small tent, which was originally meant for her married daughter. There is no comfort, no privacy, and no protection from the cold, disease, or trauma. Her children are suffering physically and emotionally. Her son Omar lost the home he had just purchased before October 7. Her daughter Nour had to abandon her education. Others, like Lama and Nasma, are living in constant fear and instability.

Despite all of this, Sanaa remains the emotional pillar of her family. She is pleading for help—not for herself alone—but for the children and grandchildren who look to her for strength in the most unimaginable of circumstances.

We are trying to raise $50,000 to support Sanaa and her family in rebuilding their lives:

Urgent medical care for Sanaa’s heart condition, diabetes, and high blood pressure
Essential food, clothing, and hygiene supplies for her family
Safe housing to replace the tent and protect them from harsh conditions
Mental health and trauma support for her children and grandchildren
A chance to restart their lives with dignity and hope
“The war destroyed not just our homes, but our hearts. We are alive, but dying slowly. Please help us survive. Even a small donation can be a light in this dark tunnel.” – Sanaa

I am an independent individual with no organizational backing, simply someone committed to helping this family survive and rebuild. I am in direct and continuous contact with Sanaa Al-Mashharawi and her children in Gaza.

All funds raised will go directly toward:

Medical treatment (via local pharmacies and clinics)
Purchasing food, clean water, clothing, and basic living supplies
Supporting shelter costs (safe accommodations or rebuilding assistance)
Psychological and educational support for the children
I will personally manage the transfer of funds to the family through secure and verified channels, ensuring transparency and direct impact. I will provide updates and proof of distribution to donors whenever possible.

To everyone with compassion reading this: please consider donating whatever you can. Even a small contribution can make a life-saving difference. And if you’re unable to give, please share this campaign—it could reach someone who can.

Let’s stand with Sanaa—a mother, a grandmother, and a survivor. Let’s show her and her family that they are not alone, not forgotten, and not invisible.

With love and gratitude,
