Support San Diego County Goalball Team
Spende geschützt
The San Diego County Goalball team is a growing group of players, all united by their passion for goalball—a Paralympic sport designed for the visually impaired. We’re raising funds to support our team’s ongoing needs, including equipment, goals, jerseys, transportation, gym time, and related expenses. Your support will help us continue to grow, provide opportunities for our players, and ensure that everyone has the resources they need to have fun and succeed on the court. Goalball is a team sport for athletes with visual impairments. It’s played indoors on a court with tactile lines so players can feel their positions. Each team has three players who wear eyeshades to ensure everyone is on an equal playing field. Players forcefully throw a sound-producing ball towards the opponent’s opposite goal line, while the other team tries to block it. The game relies on agility, acute hearing, teamwork, and quick reflexes, making it both challenging and rewarding. Every member of the team faces unique challenges due to visual impairment, and goalball offers an opportunity to compete, build confidence, and form a supportive community of friends. It’s more than just a game; it’s a way to connect, stay active, and experience the thrill of teamwork and competition.
By contributing, you’re not just helping with expenses—you’re empowering a dedicated group of athletes to pursue their passion, overcome obstacles, and inspire others in the visually impaired community. Thank you for believing in our team and helping us reach our goals.
