Support Samuel's Journey to Independence
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Amanda Inman and I have the absolute pleasure of being Samuel Dunn's Aunt. My sister, Whitney Dunn, and her husband, Brian, need some help covering expenses for their son, Samuel. Almost two years ago, Samuel was diagnosed with Duchenne/Becker Muscular Dystrophy. Earlier this month, I was thrilled to learn that I won an incredible all-terrain wheelchair through the Aimee Copeland Foundation. I entered the contest hoping to win it for my nephew, Samuel. For the past year and a half, he has had to rely on being pulled in a wagon during family hikes and at summer camp. The Action Trackchair will give him back his independence and allow him to enjoy being a kid again.
While the basic chair is being gifted to us, there are additional items Samuel’s parents need to make it possible for him to fully enjoy his new Action Trackchair, including a $1,200 carrier to transport it. Additionally, due to the progression of his condition, Samuel has recently started struggling to climb the stairs to his bedroom. They are working with a company to install a stairlift in their home. Although they received some financial assistance from an organization, they still need about $2,500 to cover the remaining cost.
Any extra funds collected beyond our goal will go towards Samuel’s ongoing medical expenses and therapies. Thank you so much for helping my nephew regain a bit of his independence and childhood!
May God Bless You,
Amanda
