I am Samuel Shadows, an artist and choreographer, and for the first time, I am sharing my work on a larger platform by presenting this work at the Dance Educators Collective Choreographers Cup. 20 finalists have been selected, and I am honored to be one of them. This project is a collaboration with my closest friends, former students, and fellow artists, and together we are exploring a crossover genre of tap and contemporary dance. I believe the dance industry needs work that is meaningful and human, and I am passionate about presenting it to a wider audience. With your support, I hope to develop something that makes people think and fall more in love with dance.

The funds raised will help me present the work on this larger scale and pay the dancers for their time as working artists. As someone who has never undertaken a project like this before, I want to ensure that the talented dancers I have invited are supported and recognized for their contributions.
