Support Samuel Sait's Recovery After a Tragic Shooting
Donation protected
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who has supported Samuel on his road to recovery. Your prayers, encouragement, and generous gifts have meant the world to both Samuel and our family. He now has a stable living situation, home health, medications and healthy food. All possible because of your giving. No small feat, thank you.
On March 9th, Samuel survived a shooting that nearly cost him his life. The bullet caused severe internal damage and required emergency surgery to remove parts of his intestines. Since then, he has endured multiple hospitalizations, ongoing rehabilitation, and minor surgeries. He’s come a long way—his surgical incision is nearly healed, he’s learning to manage his colostomy bag, and he continues to recover day by day.
Samuel has now been out of the hospital for three weeks. He’s preparing his own meals, walking more confidently, and slowly regaining strength. His healing journey isn’t over—he still faces another major surgery in the months ahead—but he remains strong and optimistic.
This traumatic event has been a turning point for Samuel. He’s faced many struggles and made mistakes in the past, but this near-death experience has given him a second chance—one he’s fully committed to embracing. Samuel is determined to heal not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually.
Our goal now is to help him build a stable foundation for the future. That includes securing long-term housing, accessing continued medical care, and enrolling in outpatient rehab and therapy programs that will support his full recovery.
Every donation, every share, every prayer makes a difference. Your support brings hope and healing at a time when Samuel needs it most.
Thank you for standing with Samuel —we are deeply grateful.
Tenderly,
Mary
