URGENT: Let’s help “El Buen Gusto” rise from the fire

July 22, 2025, will be a day hard to forget for Samuel Turcios and Ana Hernández, a hardworking couple who saw their family business, “El Buen Gusto,” in Honduras consumed by flames — the result of years of effort, sacrifice, and perseverance. Along with their business, there were multiple more affected one being Samuel’s mother Sobeida turcios, who’s had her business for 40 years.

They started this venture during the pandemic after losing their jobs, and little by little, through hard work, they managed to build a space that not only supported their own family but also provided jobs to 14 other people. In total, 15 families have now lost their only source of income.

The hardest part is that everything was lost: equipment, supplies, furniture, and dreams. But faith has not been lost. Now more than ever, they need us.

Samuel and Ana have five children who depend on them, and though their hearts are broken, they are not defeated. We know it’s possible to start again — but they can’t do it alone.

Today we ask you to open your heart and help us bring “El Buen Gusto” back to life. Any contribution, no matter how small, makes a big difference. This funding will be shared with all the affected families.

URGENTE: Ayudemos a “El Buen Gusto” a levantarse del incendio

El 22 de julio de 2025 será un día difícil de olvidar para Samuel Turcios y Ana Hernández, una pareja de luchadores que vio consumido por las llamas su negocio familiar "El Buen Gusto", fruto de años de esfuerzo, sacrificio y perseverancia. La mamá de Samuel, Sobeida Turcios también fue impactada después de tener su negocio por 40 años.

Ellos comenzaron este emprendimiento durante la pandemia, cuando se quedaron sin empleo, y poco a poco con mucho trabajo lograron construir un espacio que no solo daba sustento a su familia, sino que también brindaba empleo a otras 14 personas. En total, 15 familias hoy han perdido su única fuente de ingresos.

Lo más duro es que se perdió absolutamente todo: maquinaria, insumos, mobiliario, ilusiones. Pero no se ha perdido la fe. Ahora más que nunca necesitan de nosotros.

Samuel y Ana tienen 5 hijos que dependen de ellos, y sus corazones están rotos, pero no vencidos. Sabemos que es posible comenzar de nuevo, pero no podrán hacerlo solos.
