Hello, my name is Chrissie and I am the single mother of a 15-year-old boy, Samson. Samson has dreams of one day becoming Mr. Olympia and has been working very hard at achieving his dreams. This past year, he has been riddled with unexplained back pain. We took him to five different doctors, and they all said the same thing: Samson had a herniated disc at his L4 and L5 along with spinal stenosis and all sorts of other bad news. The neurologist at Riley Hospital told us that any further to the left or right and Samson would be paralyzed. While most patients could use alternative methods, like PT and cortisone shots, Samson's disc was in a spot that almost 99% of the time will not heal. That meant surgery. What doctors originally thought was from an injury has turned out to be a chronic problem in Samson's spine and will most likely be an issue for the rest of his life.

Being the only parent to take care of Samson, this meant I had to take 10 days off of work to be with him, and it has hit me hard financially. I absolutely hate asking for help and I do not expect much from anyone, I just appreciate everyone's help.
