3/4/26 Update:

The tumor has reached his elbow. It is growing daily. He is on a pain regime to control pain and I am maintaining the wound until I can raise the funds for amputation. I have updated the gofundme amount to reflect the new procedure.

1/26/26 Update:

Sam received his first injection in December, but unfortunately it was not successful in removing the mast cell tumor completely. The tumor is still growing, and he will need a second injection. I still owe $500 for the initial treatment plus $1,500 for the second treatment. I have adjusted the total amount to only reflect the new $1,500 amount.

12/2 Update:

The tumor has grown too large to biopsy. Now the vet is moving to taking xrays to make sure it hasn't spread and will inject Stefonta to kill the tumor if it is found to be non metastatic. This is less expensive than the biopsy so the goal amount has changed to $1500. Thank you to everyone who has helped!

This is my buddy, Sam. I adopted Sam nine years ago from a chihuahua rescue. He is my constant little shadow. He has helped me through some of the hardest seasons of my life, and right now he needs help that I’m struggling to afford on my own.

Sam was diagnosed with a mast cell tumor on October 10, 2025. Sam underwent a Stelfonta injection the beginning of December to remove the tumor, but it was not successful. The injection aggrivated the tumor and it has grown twice in size. We are now looking at amputation of the leg.

I am a single mom who works a full time job and attends college. I am currently looking for a second job to help with vet bills but as this is time sensitive, I am reaching out to the community.
