Venmo: Sam-Walker-50

As a lot of you know while Sam was on a business trip May 8th, he suffered an intraventricular hemorrhage which led to a hemorrhagic stroke. He had to have an emergency procedure to save his life. The doctors installed a ventriculostomy catheter in his brain to relieve the pressure. His body battled many things while being in a medically induced coma for two weeks. He had to have a tracheotomy and a feeding tube placed in his stomach for nutrition and medications. When he finally cleared all the sedation and was strong enough, his family was able to med flight him home to Madonna Rehab Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. There he is undergoing rehab to recover from all his injuries.

Sam has worked miracles and there isn’t a fight he can’t win. If you know Sam, he is never one to ask for help, never one to complain, and certainly never one to “take.” He would give (and from stories he has) his shirt off his back to help someone else. He’s the type of guy to pay for a random stranger’s dinner just to see them smile. As you can imagine, Sam has not been able to work and has medical bills mounting. He’s instead been fighting for his life, and now showing all the medical professionals that they’re not going to keep him long as he progresses through rehabilitation. It’s time for us to rally as a community of family and friends and give back to Sam as he continues to rehab and relearn many daily tasks. He’s made a huge impact on many people’s lives and is the most selfless person that deserves help with his financial burden of medical expenses. We have added Sam’s Venmo (Sam-Walker-50) at the top of this post as Go Fund Me takes some of your donation as a fee.
