Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
For the past year, I’ve had the privilege of working as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) across several ambulance stations in Pennsylvania, from Central PA to the City of Pittsburgh. My journey into emergency medicine has ignited a profound passion within me for serving my community as a first responder. It has been an honor to provide immediate care in times of crisis, knowing that every moment counts in saving lives.
However, our nation is facing a critical shortage of paramedics. Our EMS system is overburdened, understaffed, and on the brink of a serious crisis. In light of this, I’ve committed myself to becoming a part of the solution by advancing my skills and knowledge. I’ve been accepted into Indiana University of Pennsylvania's Paramedic Program, starting in January 2025, and this opportunity means everything to me.
Unfortunately, life recently threw me an unexpected challenge. My beloved dog, a loyal companion through all the highs and lows, needed emergency surgery to remove a bladder obstruction. While the surgery saved my dog’s life and was worth every penny, it depleted the funds I had carefully set aside to pay for my tuition, which is due in less than 60 days.
This is where I’m humbly asking for your support.
With your help, I can attend the Paramedic Program and continue my journey toward becoming a paramedic. Every donation, no matter how small, brings me closer to my goal of serving our community in an even greater capacity. Your kindness will not only help me pursue my passion but also ensure that more skilled paramedics are available to respond when our neighbors need it most.
Please consider sharing this campaign with others as well. I truly believe that together, we can make a difference not just in my life but in the lives of those who rely on emergency medical services every day.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generosity, support, and belief in my dream.
With gratitude,
Sam
