Support Haitian family: Sammy, SheLove and Jayson

This fundraiser is to help Sammy, SheLove and their son, Jayson, leave Port-au-Prince, Haiti and travel to Tapachula, Mexico to seek asylum and residency. This young family urgently wants to leave as the on-going violence and instability in Haiti is severely affecting the whole country and especially the areas in and around Port-au-Prince where they live. The communities of Delmas, Solino, Croix de Bouquets, Gressier, Cafour Feuille, Leogane and Kenscoff have recently experienced horrible, unspeakable atrocities. This escalation of terror by gangs that control many parts of the country has forced thousands of people to leave their homes.

People have been fleeing Haiti in droves to escape the violence and find a secure place to live. The situation on the ground is dire and unpredictable and there is no democratically elected government. Everyday life is disrupted and movement around the country has become dangerous and severely limited. Sammy and SheLove want to leave Haiti and establish themselves in another place where there is employment and a secure place to raise their son. There are Haitians traveling to Tapachula now and they have a connection who has secured a place where they can stay when they land. They need the money and the passports to leave the country while this window of opportunity is open.
