Support Samiya as She Fights for Justice for Her Son

My name is Taniya Taylor, and I’m raising funds for my sister, Samiya Woods, and her 7-month-old son, who is fighting for his life. Samiya has been fully devoted to her baby through an unimaginable ordeal and is now unable to work while also navigating the legal process to protect her child. Our entire family, especially his mom, is heartbroken, drained, and holding on to nothing but prayer and hope that he pulls through.

This is a reminder to cherish and protect the children in your life—sometimes the people closest to us can do the most unforgivable things. Tragically, my nephew was hurt by his mom’s best friend, someone she had trusted for 11 years, never imagining that person could cause her child such harm. If they truly cared, none of this would have happened—they wouldn’t have ignored him, lied to us, or stayed away when he needed help the most.

We’re talking about a 7-month-old baby who has already been through surgery twice. One of those times, they couldn’t even finish because they were losing him. He had a hole in his colon, had to have part of it removed, his kidneys are failing, and now he’s on dialysis—all at just 7 months old. His stomach was so swollen from backed-up waste that it was crowding his lungs, preventing him from being life-flighted and forcing doctors to rush him back into surgery. He now has a colostomy bag—at just 7 months old and is on dialysis.
