Hello, my name is Samira. I was diagnosed with cancer in my breast, bone, and liver in 2016.

Here is my story:

I was diagnosed with this cancer when I was pregnant with my daughter, and I continue to fight just to see her grow into the intelligent woman she is meant to be. I have had many treatments throughout the years, and it has been difficult to balance my illness with my family life.

Recently, I had to extract 6 teeth from my mouth due to an infection that has taken over orally. That procedure was not covered by my insurance, and had to be payed completely out of pocket. I still currently have not raised enough money to replace the missing teeth in my mouth.

Living in Dunwoody, GA, I only reside with my husband and my 6 year old daughter in a small one bedroom apartment. Other than the support from friends, I have no family or anyone to rely on at times of need. My entire family is out of country, as I moved here after I got married, and the support I do receive is from the close knit Moroccan community that I have been able to be apart of. I am currently unemployed and am living off of my husband's paycheck, which becomes difficult with daily expenses as well as my medical treatments. I also like to make sure my daughter is able to enjoy her childhood without needing to worry about what she has.

Any money that is raised will go towards my medical treatments and necessities, in addition to any future medical bills that I will receive during my treatment.

I am forever grateful for all the love and support that I have already been receiving from my friends.
