Support for Samir Alnasir

Samir Alnasir is a loving husband, a devoted father of four, and a dedicated caregiver to his bedridden son, who has needed ongoing medical care since birth and is currently in need of a kidney. At 51 years old, Samir has always worked hard and put his family first. He is well known and respected in his community through his work as a soccer referee and captain. On August 27, 2026, at 7:06 pm, while refereeing a soccer game between Hamtramck and U of D Jesuit at University of Detroit Jesuit High School, Samir was struck in the back of the head by a kicked ball. He lost consciousness and collapsed on the field. This devastating accident left him with four fractured bones in his neck, a concussion, a blood clot in his brain, and nerve damage.

Samir is now on strict bed rest with a metal stabilization device while his neck heals. Doctors expect about six months of recovery followed by therapy, and during this time he is unable to work. That means his family is facing ongoing lost income along with the continuing cost of household needs and daily care for both Samir and his medically fragile son. His wife is now carrying the weight of caring for Samir, their children, and their son while trying to keep the home running. Please support Samir and his family during this incredibly difficult season. Recurring donations would provide steady help with bills, groceries, and care needs throughout his recovery, and one-time donations are also deeply appreciated. Our Relationship to Samir and How the Funds Will Be Used

Samir Alnasir is my uncle, and I created this fundraiser on his behalf with his full knowledge and understanding.

The funds raised through this GoFundMe will be transferred directly to Samir’s bank account. He will use the funds to help cover rent, household bills, food, medical and recovery-related expenses, daily living needs, and the costs of caring for and supporting his family while he is unable to work.

Samir is aware of this fundraiser and is incredibly grateful for all the love, prayers, and support he has received. He has personally thanked everyone who has donated and supported him, including publicly expressing his gratitude for the GoFundMe during his appearance on the news.
