Support Samikshya’s Recovery & Future
Donation protected
Dear Friends,
The Baltimore Association of Nepalese in America (BANA) is raising funds to support Samikshya Nepali Thapa, an international student at CCBC Catonsville, who came to the U.S. in 2024 to pursue her dream of becoming a nurse. She is originally from a small village in Bhimad-6, Bagtar, Tanahun, Nepal, where she grew up with the aspiration to help others through healthcare.
On January 24, 2025, Samikshya was tragically hit by a car in a hit-and-run accident, leaving her with severe injuries, including multiple fractures, a brain injury, and a broken urinary bladder (which required urgent surgery). She spent three weeks in the hospital, undergoing extensive treatments and multiple surgeries.
Though she has now been discharged, Samikshya faces a long and difficult road to recovery. She is in urgent need of support for daily living expenses, including rent and basic needs—all while having no family members in the U.S. to assist her.
BANA is committed to helping Samikshya through this challenging time, but we need your support. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help cover her basic living expenses so she can regain her strength and continue her studies at CCBC Catonsville to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse.
Please donate and share this fundraiser to help Samikshya get back on her feet. Together, we can make a difference in her life.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
