Support Sami Murphy's Cancer Battle

Hello, friends!

I'm Vicki Sawinski, and I'm organizing this Gofundme campaign on behalf of our dear friend, Sami Murphy (aka Lisa Camacho). Sami is currently facing a relentless battle against stage 4 bladder cancer, and she needs our support more than ever.

Sami's Story;

Born with spina bifida, Sami has faced health challenges from birth. She always met these difficulties with unwavering determination and a positive spirit.

However, her recent diagnosis of stage 4 bladder cancer has thrown her into a nightmare. The cancer has spread to her pelvic walls, lymph nodes, ribs, spine, tailbone and the top of her spine, resulting in two spinal fractures.

Despite the challenges, Sami is determined to fight back. Sami is undergoing chemo and radiation, hoping to shrink the tumors, alleviate pain, and keep the cancer at bay.

How Your Support will Help;

• Medical equipment

• Medications and supplies

• Gas for frequent hospital appointments (averaging 5-7 a week)

• Parking fees at Evanston and Northwestern Hospitals

• Costs associated with hiring friends and family to assist Sami during the day and night while her husband works

• Food and supplements

We also aim to provide 12-hour

our care to give her husband much-needed rest.
